Dittoable is in pre-launch. Right now this site does one thing: collects email addresses from people who want an invite when we go live in Ottawa. This page explains how we handle that information under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA).

What we collect

Your email address and the timestamp of when you signed up, plus standard web analytics data via Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Analytics. Google Analytics may set cookies (e.g. _ga, _ga_*) and collect anonymized IP, browser, and device info to help us understand how visitors find and use the site. Vercel Analytics is cookieless. We don’t use any other third-party trackers.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing Google’s Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser.

Why we collect it

We collect your email for one purpose: to send you an invite when Dittoable opens in Ottawa, plus the occasional founder note about progress until then. By submitting the form, you consent to receiving those emails.

Where it’s stored

Your email is stored in Resend, our email provider, on servers in the United States. Vercel hosts this site on its global edge network. Google Analytics processes its data on Google’s global infrastructure. By signing up or browsing, you consent to your information being processed in those locations under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA).

How long we keep it

Until you ask us to delete it, or until Dittoable is wound down. You can ask us to delete your email at any time and we will, within 30 days, no questions asked.

Your rights under PIPEDA

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it’s wrong, withdraw consent at any time, and lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@dittoable.com.

How to withdraw consent or unsubscribe

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email hello@dittoable.com and we’ll remove you immediately. Withdrawing consent doesn’t affect any emails we sent before you withdrew.

What we don’t do

We will never sell your email, share it with third parties for marketing purposes, or send you content unrelated to Dittoable.
